ἀρχὴ δὲ τοι ἥμισυ παντός

I will start with the first maxim I encountered while studying Ancient Greek:

Well begun is half done or The beginning is half of the whole,  by Pythagorus, ~550 B.C.

ἀρχὴ δὲ τοι ἥμισυ παντός

How could this saying help you today? Also, if you can read Ancient Greek, how does reading the original affect your thoughts? Is the translation into English adequate?

pythagoras
